Hotel die Post This 3* hotel, owned by the Leiblein family for several generations, has been welcoming our guests for many years now. The rooms are very comfortable and the kitchen is both innovative and excellent. The terrace has wonderful views over the upper valley of the River Tauber, and there is a beer garden too. An unusual feature is the schnaps distillery on the premises, which offers a wide range of fruit spirits. |

Some suggested walks for this holiday Walk 1. Bus to Rothenburg. Explore this superb town, then walk back along the Main to Danube Way (about 10 miles). Walk 2. Follow the Main to Danube Way to Feuchtwangen. Enjoy coffee and cake in the old cloisters, then return by bus (about 12 miles). Walk 3. Walk through remote villages and forests where deer, polecats and wild boar may be seen, and buzzards and red kites wheel overhead (up to 14 miles). Walk 4. Walk past springs and brooks through the rolling hills above the Tauber Valley, giving you fine views over the countryside (about 9 miles). |
