The Hotel ImberyThe Hotel Imbery is a 3* hotel and popular cafe close to the centre of town. Dating from 1827, today it has large, light and spacious rooms to welcome the visitor. It is a perfect base for walkers as the Hättich family who own the hotel are very knowledgeable as to routes and drying facilities are available to guests. The hotel has a sauna.The hotel also has a room that is equipped for cycle storage and minor repairs in summer; in winter the same space is set up for cross-country skiers. This holiday includes free use of local public transport throughout your stay. |
Some suggested walks for this holiday The dense footpath network on the slopes of the Feldberg allows walkers of all abilities to enjoy walking with panoramic views. Walk 1. Climb gently through forest to the Feldsee lake, ending high on the shoulder of the Feldberg (about 9 miles). Return by public transport. Walk 2. Follow the Black Forest Homeland Trail to the Ravenna Gorge, then return through the Löffel Valley (about 11 miles). Walk 3. Walk or train to Titisee, then follow the path around one of the most beautiful lakes in Germany (about 7 miles). Walk 4. Ascend the Feldberg by a completely different route, this time via the Emil-Thoma-Weg. This is the most gentle ascent, and the one recommended if you are holidaying with children (about 9 miles). |
